FISHING OUT OF THE ST .LUCIE INLET – STUART,FL.

This report from Captain Charlie Burns

not a bad day fishing today, the sail fish were found to the Nort & South, as well as slighly to  the east,140 to 160 feet & west.That tells you they are scattered. The same goes for the dolfin.here is our catch for today: 3-sharks,6-bonitas,many more if  you want to bend a rod.also 3 dolfin about 15 pounder and (1)sailfish.this was a 1/2day trip. may fish week-end.

here we go: We finally had a letup of the wind and yesterday we decided to try a little SPANISH MACKEREL fishing. The seas were calm and the Mackerel were everywhere .It did not take more than an hour to catch our limit,which was 10 per person and we had 3 anglers.This was all everone wanted to catch,, so back to port for us. All had a good time and will return again.The next few trips will be looking for dolfin and Sailfish.

Today’s fishing charter is about two fishermen that just would not take the captains word .I told them that do to high north east winds and high surf ,to save their money for another day but they said they still wanted to try it.

I said if we go through the Port St Lucie Inlet and found that they could not handle it, they would pay for the trip in full. OK they said. Well, you guessed it back through the 6 to 7  foot seas we went.
