I am Captain Charlie Burns, originating from Baltimore, Maryland, and will keep this bio short and to the point where I learned to fish and grab, Strip Bass, Blue Fish, and of course some bottom fishing that were the available sport fish!
I built my first boat a ( 14′ plywood ), and boy was I ever proud of that boat. I have had many size vessels since than, that have help me gain my experience at sea.
I graduated from college after my four years of U.S.NAVY duty. I got married had two wonderful children a son and daughter. I earned my captains license in 1995 and continued fishing out of Ocean City, Maryland, this is I must say where I gained my experience as a much better captain and would run seventy-five to eighty-five offshore charters each season. I was always in pursuit of YELLOW FIN TUNA, & BLUE FIN TUNA , and competed in all tournaments. The tournaments were ,tuna, shark, blue and white marlin, as well as the speedy WAHOO. Of course lets not forget the MAI-MAI, also know as the DOLFIN. Listed below are a few of my winning tournments.
Also, 1995 was my big year, I began by having a 48′ Carolina Custom boat built, almost a 2 year project. I chartered this boat from Ocean City, Maryland, and many places in the Bahamas. Not only did I learn much on my own, however, I must give credit to the many captains and mates that I have met along my journey.
“We pride ourself in having pride for our customers , for without that pride there would be no customers.”
